В сентябре 2015 года лидеры Китая и России подписали межправительственное соглашение об учреждении генконсульств во Владивостоке, Казани, Харбине и Ухане, три из них за это время были открыты.
Ожидается, что в округ генконсульства в Ухане войдут провинции Хубэй, Хунань, Гуйчжоу, Сычуань и город центрального подчинения Чунцин.
В настоящее время в Китае функционируют консульский отдел посольства России в Пекине, а также генконсульства РФ в Гонконге, Гуанчжоу (провинция Гуандун), Харбине (провинция Хэйлунцзян), Шанхае и Шэньяне (провинция Ляонин).

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. "There is a significant risk of insider threat or hacking of Telegram systems that could expose all of these chats to the Russian government," said Eva Galperin with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which has called for Telegram to improve its privacy practices. Continuing its crackdown against entities allegedly involved in a front-running scam using messaging app Telegram, Sebi on Thursday carried out search and seizure operations at the premises of eight entities in multiple locations across the country. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
