Алексей — автор музыки к театральным и хореографическим постановкам Кирилла Серебренникова, Бориса Юхананова, Филиппа Григорьяна, Вадима Захарова, Gay&Rony Club, Веры Мартынов, Анны Абалихиной, Славы Самодурова и др. В 2013-м году Алексей стал обладателем национальной театральной премии Золотая маска за лучшую работу композитора в музыкальном театре. Мультимедийный перфоманс Страсти по Мартену, к которому Алексей написал музыку, получил Гран-при премии Курёхина.
