В субботу днем на Скоттс-Вэлли обрушился торнадо, повредив автомобили, повалив деревья и столбы электропередач, а также перекрыв движение по дороге Маунт-Хермон. По словам капитана полиции Скоттс-Вэлли Скотта Гарнера, за почти 28 лет работы в регионе он никогда не слышал о торнадо, обрушивщегося на этот район. В результате торнадо пять человек получили ранения.
