صد سالگی موسسه رازی؛ مارهایی که جان ایرانیان و سربازان آمریکایی را نجات دادند

میلیون‌ها ایرانی و شماری از سربازان آمریکایی جان خود را مدیون گاو‌های طاعون‌زده‌ای هستند که در عهد قاجار زندگی کشاورزان را سیاه کردند. زمانی که ایران اسیر قحطی و خشک‌سالی بود و سرمایه دهقانان یکی یکی بر زمین می‌افتاد، دولتمردان به فکر راه‌اندازی موسسه‌ای افتادند که امسال صد سالگی خود را جشن گرفت.

موسسه رازی زمستان ۱۳۰۳ در اواخر سلطنت احمدشاه، به پیشنهاد مصطفی قلی‌بیات، خواهرزاده مصدق و بنیانگذار دانشکده کشاورزی کرج و با نطق تاثیرگذار عبدالحسین تیمورتاش، وزیر فوائد عامه (اقتصاد) در مجلس به تصویب رسید. قرار شد یک متخصص با حقوق چهار هزار تومان از فرانسه به ایران برود و چاره‌ای برای این مصیبت پیدا کند.

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts.
