Сын депутата от «Единой России» в Астрахани наехал на двух человек на пешеходном переходе. Инцидент произошел на Адмиралтейской улице, неподалеку от Нового моста.

26-летний водитель Toyota Camry на скорости вылетел на пешеходный переход, задел другую машину и снес двух человек: военного прокурора и его супругу. У обоих пострадавших тяжелые травмы и переломы.

Виновником аварии оказался Артем Леванов. Молодой человек был абсолютно голым и пытался подраться с полицейскими, однако все же был задержан. От медосвидетельствования виновник ДТП отказался.

Не исключается, что он был в состоянии наркотического опьянения.

Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Kyiv-based lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, called Durov’s position "very weak," and urged concrete improvements. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. But Kliuchnikov, the Ukranian now in France, said he will use Signal or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations, but questions around privacy on Telegram do not give him pause when it comes to sharing information about the war. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
