Сообщают, что на шведском полигоне в Бодене произведены первые стрельбы первой изготовленной для шведской армии 155-мм/52 самоходной гаубицы Archer в исполнении на колесном автомобильном шасси RMMV HX2 (8x8) производства германского предприятия Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicle (RMMV). В сентябре 2023 г. ВАЕ Systems подписала контракт стоимостью 5 млрд шведских крон (419 млн евро) со шведским оборонным закупочным ведомством Försvarets materielverk (FMV) на поставку для армии Швеции 48 самоходных гаубиц Archer в данном исполнении 8х8. Поставки их в части шведской армии планируется начать в 2026 г. Кроме того, еще 18 таких САУ предполагается изготовить в счет военной помощи для Украины, и еще 18 таких САУ летом 2025 г. были заказаны Латвией. Фото (с) FMV и армия Швеции
