Владельцы московского ТЦ "Тишинка" подали иск в арбитражный суд к петербургскому девелоперу "Элемент К-3" (дочерней компании Element Development), пытаясь принудить его к покупке объекта площадью 22 000 кв. м. Девелопер ранее намеревался приобрести ТЦ и выплатил задаток, но отказался от сделки из-за нарушений условий со стороны продавца. В ответ Element Development также обратился в суд с требованием вернуть задаток и проценты за период его удержания.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
